Delaware Simpsons

1675 May 22 William Simpson entered 400 acres called Simpsons Choice on the north side of Little Creek adj. land of John Stevens. (Delaware Records: Abs. of Duke of York Records published in Maryland and Delaware Genealogist in 1971) This William could be the one who was married to Jane Hines and later moved to Upper Makefield in PA. The PA Archives states that he had land in this area. He is the father of William Simpson and his wife, Isabella Wilson. He is also the father of Andrew Simpson of the Cumberland Valley (Bonnie Simpson-Valko)


1788 July George Simpson, son of John and Betsey (Buchanan) Simpson landed at Newcastle. He was in Jackson Co., TN in 1835. He was born in Co. Tyrone, Parish Duncacary. (The Simpson Families p. 36)
